Fanikeshwar Nath Govt. College, Fingeshwar was established in 2013, since then Botany has been taught as one of the subject. In 2017, when the college was shifted to present building, a well equipped laboratory of Botany came into existence.
Till this date, the department received the humble and devoted services of many Asst. Prof. and Guest Faculties.
Department was blessed by some of the outstanding teachers of all time were, Ms. Nisha Ramteke, Dr. Alka Kaushik. The department was enriched at all the levels due to their wholehearted devotion to the subject.
There is 01 sanctioned post for the faculty in Botany which is for assistant professor.
There is 01 lab attendant working in this department.
The teaching and learning process is through power point presentation, by over head projectors and also through conventional chalk and black board.
The students are made acquainted with latest developments in the field by taking them for visit to the well advanced laboratories and by taking them for study excursion tour. The students are encouraged to give class seminars which make them confident about their subject and it is also part of their curriculum.
The department has a herbarium collection, well equipped laboratory, botanical garden (naming of the plants in the botanical garden) with green house.
